[Oriya-group] Agenda for ilug-bbsr meeting on Sun., 10th April

Hello,
  The next ilug-bbsr meeting will be held on Sunday,
the 10th of April, from 10am-noon at Halden Hall,
Department Of MCA, Centre for Post Graduate Studies,
OUAT. Directions to the venue are available in an
earlier post to the ilug-bbsr Yahoo group, and also
from the top of the website:

  We hope to proceed along the path of making Linux
available to everyday users. The presentation topics 
were chosen from the opinion poll, taking into account
the availability of speakers. The agenda for the
meeting is:
  o Welcome address
  o Installation of Fedora core 3. A live
    demonstration of the installation process up to
    the point of package installation.
  o Using the Linux GUI: KDE. An introduction to the
    basics of using the KDE desktop.
  o Oriya localization. How to use Oriya on the Linux
    desktop, and how to make an Oriya language
    interface possible.
  o Introductory programming under Linux. A simple
    introduction to programming under Linux,
    describing available languages, editors,
compilers,
    and outlining some integrated development
    environments (IDEs).
  o Organization of ILUG-BBSR working group, and
    planning for future meetings.
  o Open discussion.
