Definitely sounds like a great idea. Which one of
these
items are you volunteering for :-)
Jokes aside, this sort of a thing is what I had in
mind. Someone takes up an area that is of particular
interest to him, does some work figuring out how to
do it under OSS, and then teaches other people. I
would be glad to help out in getting people started
on using Linux, where to look for relevant software,
etc., but such an effort can only take place with
community-wide participation. For example, we could
have the goal of writing an open-source book made up
of such tidbits.
