It is OK.

Oriya 'Chabila Madhu Barnabodh' book (highest sold) clearly shows that this is actually 'wa-phalaa', as in most conjuncts it is prounciated as 'wa'. Here 'Ba-phalaa' is represented by a small 'ba' character below, as also mentioned by Mr. Peter. Also used in the Andy White's original ORI1... OT font.

May refer again
"http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Orissa-IT/files/Oriya_BA_vs_Wa_reference.pdf"

This issue was in debate since long (First time I came to know in 1980), while the old-generation vote for 'wa', the new generation stick to 'ba' only for both, whereas everyone accepts that taking it as 'wa' and differenciating it from 'ba' is good for clarity of the SCRIPT and beter scientific phonics.

So let us not waste our time in further debate. I keep myself limited to putting the facts and available references. Let the peoples to decide.

Let us proceed further. I have entered all possible conjuncts/syllables as per Barnabodh in Yudit. This text file may provide good help in testing a Oriya OT font. Attaching separately.

With Regards.
