[Oriya-group] ILUG-BBSR meeting details

Hi,
  The ILUG-BBSR meeting held at the Institute of
Physics this morning was very well attended, with
some 60-70 people present. It was especially
heartening to see that almost everyone present seemed
to be a student, a fact that bodes well for the future
of ILUG-BBSR and open-source in Bhubaneswar and
Orissa.
  After a few presentations, there was a lively open
discussion on Linux and open-source software in
general. Quite a few people have volunteered their
time to work on keeping ILUG-BBSR going, and we
have made some plans for future activities. Noteworthy
among these plans are a couple of having day-long
workshops to give people hands-on experience in
installing and using Linux. These should be
arranged within the next couple of weeks, so keep your
eyes peeled for announcements. By tomorrow, I will
also post details about specific plans, and some
immediate tasks.
