[+PLUS][I+MM] [+PLUS] Linux and AntiViruses

Hi Once again,
  I happened to read that Linux is not prone to getting infected with viruses mainly due to the manner the files are organised (I guess! ),Yet I Hear that Like many of us who actually are new to Linux would prefer Installing a distro version over a partitioned space of windows, There is a possibility that you might encounter a virus attack ( Due to windows and partitioning). I would like to know more and about the Anti viruses available to Tackle the problem. So can some one help me?
