It's downloading  the sources.gz (package information). It'll take some time
if you have a low speed internet connection. The one from
us.debian.orgitself is around 5 MB of size, each of these repos will
have these files,
varying in sizes.


Don't touch dpkg (similar to rpm) directly if you can !!  In this case use
> 'apt-get install synaptic' (similar to yum) after adding CD2 to the sources.
