Actualy, Arun has created a malayalam nodule for pango. But pango team
decided to use a single module for indian languages. (Tamil team team has 
submited the code before this, I think). One from IBM has created the 
correcnt panfo-indic. It's based on OpenType standard. Qt and Microsoft
also follows the same.

I don't think there is any issue. Pango-indic is created by one from
IBM, thats all. It's distributed in LGPL (i thinlk).
