[Smc-discuss] probs in gedit

I am using gnome gedit 2.2.1, with the pango patches from malayalam
gnome applied to  pango 1.2.3-1.

I  found  that malayalam  is  displayed all  right  when  any font  is
specified as the default font. But, if I change the font from

edit > preferences > editor . fonts & colors

and  specify it  to use  malayalam, the  malayalam  reordering becomes
haywire.

Is it a bug with gedit or with pango? 

Will post a screen shot if necessary.
