[Smc-discuss] malayalam keyboard

Hai all,
  I would like to know which is the best method for enabling the malayalam keyboard support in Linux distributions.
Whether one should go for XKB method or Xlib modification method( Especially in X environment). Whoch method are you following. Can you give me the details. 

I would like to use both the existing Malayalam TTF fonts & Unicode fonts for keyboard Input.
