I think the akruti based non-std*.ttf files are enough.  We should not
support ISCII anymore. ISCII > unicode is a good idea, but not unicode
> ISCII. Your  suggestion falls in  the latter category.   More fonts,
and more apps  supporting ISCII means you are  perpetuating a standard
which does  not deserve support even  longer. A minimal  free font for
the  purpose already  exists, and  so  does your  excellent script  to
convert ISCII to Unicode and back; that will do.
